This item is made in a private kiln in Seminarra, Calabria, southern Italy.
The reddish-brown clay, which is rich in iron, is decorated simply in two colors, brown and blue, giving it the rustic feel typical of pottery from this region, while also being elegant enough to be used as a tabletop object.
